Tramontana 18 is one of 25 privately owned houses in a community with extensive gardens and pool and stunning views of Mahon harbour. On the ground floor there is an open plan kitchen and living area and a patio with views over the harbour. On the first floor there is a master double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, built in wardrobes and a balcony with harbour views, a further double bedroom with built in wardrobes, and a family bathroom. On the top floor is a twin room.

Snorkeling is very popular and there is access to the sea via steps near the pool, or from the small bay of Cala Padera. You can also fish off the cliffs. There is horse riding 10 minutes walk away. The Menorcan basketball team, ‘Vive Menorca’ play at the new stadium outside Mahon. There are trotting races every sunday by St Luis where there is also an aerodrome if you fancy a flight over the island. Menorca has 120 sandy beaches most of which can be reached within 20 – 30 minutes, some offer the usual water sports, plus at S’algar there are sailing and power boat captaincy courses. There are two tennis clubs and A golf course. The island is steeped in history, within walking distance is the recently re-opened fortification of St Felipe with the remains of a 16th century church and miles of underground tunnels. Slightly further on at Cala St Esteve is Fort Marlborough and the fortification of Queen Isabella.
The community of Tramontana is situated in the residential area of Sol Del Este, so named because it is the most Eastern point of Spain and therefore is the first to see the morning sun. The extensive gardens and pool have beautiful views over Mahon harbour and the historic fortress of La Mola. On the ground floor there is a kitchen with fridge/freezer and electric cooker, this leads into the main living area with wood burning fire, satellite TV, DVD, and CD player/radio. Patio doors open out onto the terrace with a barbeque and those views of the harbour. A spiral staircase leads up to the bedrooms and bathrooms where there is a washing machine, an iron, ironing board and hairdriers are also provided. There is a bar/restaurant and a small supermarket where you can get fresh bread and pastries in the morning 2 minutes walk away, another bar/restaurant with beautiful views over the small bay of Cala Pedera is a 5 minute walk away. The historic town of Es Castell is a 10 minute walk away, here there are two supermarkets with butchers, a fishmonger plus bakeries, cafés, bars and restaurants. The picturesque fishing harbour of Calas Fons has numerous bars and restaurants where you can sit by the waterside and watch the boats. There is a regular bus service from Es Castell to the main city of Mahon which takes around 15 minutes, or you could walk along the cliff top path which takes around 40 minutes. Menorca is renowned for it’s beaches, the nearest of these, Punta Prima and Es Grau are about a 15 minute drive away as is the airport.
Villa Saudade has its special charm lying in a simple elegance and the authenticity of the object. Villa Saudade is not one of the typical commercial vacation homes in one of the many tourists’ agglomerations. It lies with its own private pool of approx. 13 x 6 yards in Parc Natural S’Albufera. The garden which is maintained by a gardener seamlessly integrates into the nature. Old, 6-9 m high palm trees define the character of the garden. There are two terraces. One protected porch and one veranda facing the pool with a splendid view over the reserve. At night only a few lights of houses can be seen although the neighbours are only a few yards away on the other side of the property. Care should be taken with young children in view of the wooden balustrade on the terrace overlooking the pool and the drop of 1 m off the far end of the pool.
