A semi-detached 2 bedroom villa in a quiet area of Torre Soli Nou, near Alayor

This little villa is set in a pretty complex of four small villas around acommunal rectangular swimming pool (minimum depth of 0.6m and maximum of 1.80m), in a quiet area of Son Bou, within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants and about 15 minutes walk to the beach. Son Bou is on the bus route to Alayor and Mahón and there is a little train that goes around the urbanization. This a small semi-detached villa with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom , an open plan kitchen with gas oven and hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster, sitting room with comfortable sofas, CD player and satellite TV, leading through French windows to a covered terrace with dining table and chairs. This apartment is in a quiet area of a popular resort set in the hillside above the beautiful beach called Son Bou, which is almost 3 km long and has various beach bars and restaurants, along with life guards, sun loungers, brollies, pedalos and other water activities. You will find a good selection of restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets and activities for all age groups in the resort, along with a Chemist and a Medical Centre. For those who like to walk you can walk along the beach all the way to Santo Tomás, there is rock swimming here too. In the other direction there are some interesting ruins to visit. The nearest Village is Alayor. It is quite traditional with cobbled back streets and a pretty church. Here you will find big supermarkets (better value than the resort supermarkets), banks, shops with local produce (leather, cheese and meat products are particularly good), a cinema, a local football ground & nearby tennis courts and more prehistoric remains.

There are steps up to the grounds from the street level and crazy paving paths to the front door, so a wheelchair would have a very hard time of it. The villa has another few steps up to it´s private covered terrace and another few inside too, so probably not perfect for the infirm either. The complex is built on a hillside and makes the most of the views over the beach and countryside.

This first floor apartment is situated in one of Menorca’s most popular resorts – Calan Porter, on the South of the Island. The complex has a large communal pool with bar & restaurant and grassed gardens. You can walk to the beach (down quite a lot of steps) and easily to the centre of the resort where you will find numerous international bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and the famous discotheque set in the caves above the sea, Cova d’en Xoroi. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, one large double and a smaller twin, both with fitted wardrobes and doors onto a small balcony. Cala´n Porter is a very popular tourist resort with absolutely everything you need for your holidays close to hand. There are loads of bars & restaurants within easy walking distance, the beach is in front of the apartment down some steps (with sun loungers & pedalos on hire), there are several supermarkets and shops of all kinds. The nearest town is Sant Climent where you will find a Tabacconist, several banks, a traditional Menorcan Tapas restaurant called El Casino (they have Jazz evenings here every Tuesday during the Summer season), a traditional baker, a Menorcan product butcher and a little supermarket. You can get the bus here from Cala´n Porter or drive it in under 10 minutes. Mahón the capital is under 15 minutes away from the apartment by car and also on the bus route. Here you will find a museum, a local produce market,smart boutiques in the old cobbled part of the town, the magnificent harbour with yet more wonderful bars & restaurants, a sports centre and a bowling.

As this is a first floor apartment it is not suitable for the infirm or wheelchair users. The resort will not accept pets

The apartment is a private holiday home situated in Charvet village of Arcs 1800 and fully equipped for four persons, especially suitable for a family group but NOT four persons of the same gender due to the sleeping arrangements. There are two bunk beds in the hall alcove and a sofa double bed in the lounge. The bathroom has a bath/shower with wash basin and toilet. Fully equipped kitchenette with fridge, three electric hobs, oven/grill, microwave oven, toaster, coffee percolator, electric kettle etc. The lounge has a sofa bed, dining table and chairs. The balcony has north east views towards Arcs 1600 and in the further distance, the Isere valley and mountains towards Italy. In all, the apartment and balcony measures approximately 32 square metres. The skiing area is accessed by taking the apartment lift to the top floor, walk along a covered walkway (about 75 metres) ascend a short flight of ski steps to the snow.

The apartment is situated in Residence Pierra Menta at Charvet village in Arcs 1800. The apartment is close to the ‘village square’ with its many shops and restaurants. These include supermarkets, bakers, delicatessen and butcher. There are plenty of ski-hire shops and even a cinema.

The apartment is stocked with a number of essentials such as tea, coffee, sugar, cooking sundries, cleaning materials, condiments etc. Please help yourself and all we ask is that if anything runs out while you are using the flat, please replace it. The apartment is also stocked with a few board games. Do not forget to take your favourite CD’s, audio tapes and DVD’s.

Linen and towels: Guests are asked to provide their own towels and tea towels. Guests will also need their own sheets, pillow cases and duvet covers. Pillows and duvets are provided.

Travel- Road: By Car: Motorway through France to Albertville, dual carriageway to Moutiers and then RN to Bourg St Maurice. A wide mountain road then leads directly up to Les Arcs 1800 where there is ample free outside parking or paid inside parking. The mountain road is regularly kept clear of snow but chains or four wheel drive are essential. The alternative is to leave your car in Bourg St Maurice at the foot of the mountain and take the funicular railway up to the resort.

Travel – Rail and Air: Trains run from the UK direct to Bourg St Maurice from where you can either take a taxi or the funicular railway up the mountain. The resort is served by Lyon, Grenoble, Chambery or Geneva airports. The airport websites will give details of onward transfers to Les Arcs.

Ski: The apartment is well placed for easy access to the pistes and lifts. The flat is on level nine and apartment lifts will take you to level eleven. From there a short walk and one flights of stairs takes you to the snow. After a gentle downhill glide, a six man chairlift will take you further up the mountain. At the end of the day you are able to ski back to where you started in the morning, conditions permitting. Les Arcs comprises of four centres 1600, 1800, 1950 and 2000. All centres are interlinked by an efficient lift system that can carry over 85000 people per hour. There are over 121 ski runs measuring over 200 kms. In addition, there is a gondola link to La Plagne and the ‘Paradiski’ ski pass covers over 400 kms of marked pistes, surely enough for anyone! SUMMER – In July and August a number of ski lifts operate to take walkers and cyclists up the mountains. There are over 40 activities on offer including golf, swimming, white water rafting and tennis.

Villa Abajo is a beautiful, large family self-catering villa with a pool, 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The gardens are mature with plenty of natural shade and the large private 10m pool has a roman end for gentle walk in to the pool. It has an infinity edge so you can see the sea whilst swimming! The main terrace is large and there are also two further terraces (also overlooking the sea) away from the pool. There is also a brilliant brick-built out-door barbeque. Upstairs is a bathroom, large living space with wood-burning stove and dining area and kitchen. The kitchen is very well equipped with large fridge/freezer, oven, hob and microwave. Son Bou/San Jaime is arguably the most popular and desired resort in Menorca. With its white sandy beach (the longest on the island) stretching along the south coast and crystal clear waters, it is popular among bathers, snorkelers and ramblers who can enjoy long walks to the headland. The beach and protected nature reserve offer wildlife and bird watching remaining unspoilt by development. It has many boutiques and restaurants, catering for both families and those who enjoy fine dining. The waterslides by the club provides endless fun for the children as does the maze. For those who want to dance the night away there is also a night club. Should you wish to surf the net there is an internet café. Everything is within walking distance, however, there is a local train/bus that drives around the resort which you can hop on and off. Always a favourite with the children. There are several supermarkets which stock everything you need. In short, Son Bou caters for everyone.

The villa’s gardens are stunning and beautifully kept. With plenty of natural shade and tucked away terraces (all with sea views) there is a space for everyone, whether they want to be close to the pool or read quietly under an olive tree. There is an outdoor brick built barbeque, which is always popular. The 10m pool has a roman end and an infinity edge, so you can see the sea whilst swimming. There are several sun-loungers and out-door tables and chairs. The large balcony, overlooking the pool and sea also has a lounger as well as table and chairs. A perfect spot for breakfast, drinks watching the sun go down and star gazing at night. Inside has a large living space with extremely comfortable corner sofa. The large dining area will seat 10 people. The kitchen is well equipped including traditional pots and pans for paella, Spanish omelets and salads. The villa has a local Menorcan feel. There are also toys/board games/Videos/DVDs, which guests are welcome to use.
